WDBJ Tower Master Control Project
WDBJ Tower/Master Control Project
WDBJ 7 was part of a national FCC repack project that required years of planning, engineering, architectural work and Diverse Group of sub- contractors to complete. Due to FCC mandated requirements the TV Station had to change to a new broadcast frequency. This required the installation of a new transmitter Antenna, electrical upgrades, construction of new tower and running the mountain top facility 4 weeks on generator power.
Master Control Center combined several different broadcast rooms into one room. Studio, recording, and broadcast could be controlled from one room.
